Gas cooktop burners excel because flame provides immediate, infinitely adjustable heat. Turn the knob and the flame responds instantly, there is no lag time for an element to heat up or cool down. For techniques like stir-frying, searing, and sauce reduction that demand precise moment-to-moment heat control, nothing matches an open gas flame.

Wolf's dual-stacked burners take gas cooktop performance further. The upper tier produces high-output heat for boiling and searing, while the lower tier provides ultra-low simmer capability. This design gives a single burner the range from 500 BTU gentle simmer to 20,000 BTU full power, all controlled by the same knob.

In the oven cavity, electric heating elements have a distinct advantage over gas. Electric elements distribute heat more evenly because they can be positioned precisely around the cavity walls and ceiling.
